Stanton J. Robins

May 10, 1939 - January 8, 2013

Stanton J. Robins, age 73, passed away unexpectedly while vacationing in New Zealand. Preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Sara Robins and brother, Gregg Robins. He is survived by his wife, Linda; sons, Harlan (Shawn Shear), Daniel and Sean (Angela) of Los Angeles; brother, Gary (Connie); sisters, Elaine (Nate) Goldberg and Judy Rosenwater and the late Jerry Rosenwater; mother, Idah Robins ; grandchildren, Alec and Abby Robins; aunts, Jean Mellman and Nancy Kahn; sister-in-law, Barbara Robins; brother-in-law, Jeffrey (Janice) Blumenthal; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Stan was the former owner of numerous beer and wine distributorships and was a kind, compassionate and philanthropic person. He generously devoted his time and resources to The Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital, The Organization for Rehabilitation and Training (ORT), The Columbus Jewish Foundation and with numerous other charities Funeral service will be held at 2:30pm on Sunday, January 13th at CONGREGATION TIFERETH ISRAEL, 1354 E. Broad St. with Rabbi Michael Ungar and Cantor Jack Chomsky officiating. Burial will follow at New Agudas Achim Cemetery. Shiva will be observed at Linda and Stan Robins residence on Sunday until midday on Wednesday January 16th. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital, 300 W. 10th Ave., Columbus 43210 or Melissa's House, 1175 College Ave., Columbus 43209 or a charity of donor's choice.
