Robert M. Sanders Obituary (1944 - 2017)

Robert "Bob" M. Sanders, 72, passed away on February 17, 2017. Preceded in death by his wife, Tobie, his uncle, Stan Weiner and his mother, Bea Sanders. He is survived by his daughters, Dana Sanders and Megan Ellis (Kevin); son, Josh (Aimee); grandson, Brocke; granddaughters, Abby, Evie, Baylor and Nola. Bob was born in Brooklyn, NY and moved with his mother to Akron, OH as a young boy. He graduated from Buchetel High School and the University of Akron, meeting Tobie before attending law school at The Ohio State University. Bob and Tobie were married in 1968. He proudly served in the United States Army. Bob established a private law practice in Reynoldsburg, Ohio and enjoyed his work and the people he worked with during his law career that spanned over 40 years. Those who knew Bob would agree he was an avid food-lover of most anything, respected attorney in the community, loyal friend to many, and most importantly, husband, dad, Papa to those most dear to him. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, February 20 at Temple Israel, 5419 E. Broad St. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn – Temple Israel section. Shiva will be observed at the Sanders residence immediately following the interment until 7pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ohio Legal Aid www.ohiolegalaid.org
