J. Joseph Altman Obituary (2006)

J. Joseph Altman, age 86, passed away on Friday, October 27th, 2006 at his home in Berwick, OH. Joe was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 8, 1920. He was a past president of the Women’s and Children’s Apparel Association of Ohio. He worked as a traveling salesmen for Ship’n Shore Blouses for 25 years and then as an independent traveling salesmen with his best friend, Irv Levi, for the rest of his career. Joe loved reading and music and spent most of his retirement at the Library. He is preceded in death by his brother Herbert and sister Mattie. Survived by his wife of 65 years, Sally, son, Alan and daughter, Ronni.
