Fannie Shkolnik, age 96, passed away on October 21, 2013. Preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Albert; sisters, Lena Friedman and Ethel Goldberg; brothers, Simon Levy, Lou Levy, Saul Levy and Mendel Levy. She is survived by her daughter, Annelyn (Richard) Baron; sons, Larry (Kathy) Shkolnik, Steven (Bobbie) Shkolnik and Ronald (Laurie) Shkolnik; grandchildren, Jamie (Eric Carlson) Shkolnik, Andrew Shkolnik, Jonathan (Kendra) Shkolnik, Todd Shkolnik, Josh (Jen) Shkolnik, Jesse Shkolnik, Loni (Evan) Kraut, Melanie (Andy) Arons, Kevin Shkolnik, Adam (Liza) Baron and Alicia Baron; great grandchildren, Casey Carlson, Aubry and Hannah Shkolnik, Sammy, Allison, Emily and Jacob Shkolnik, Hailey and Anna Kraut, Noah Arons, Brett and Tatum Baron; sisters-in-law, Rosalie Levy and Gloria Thomas; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Fannie was a life member of Congregation Agudas Achim and its sisterhood, lifetime member of Haddassah, life member and volunteer of National Council of Jewish Women, volunteer in the Wexner Heritage House Gift Shop and founding member of the Cerebral Palsy of Columbus. Funeral service will be held at 4:00pm on Thursday, October 24th at CONGREGATION AGUDAS ACHIM, 2767 E. Broad St. with Rabbi Cary Kozberg and Rabbi Mitchell Levine officiating. Burial will follow at New Agudas Achim Cemetery. Shiva will be observed at the home of Annelyn and Richard Baron on Thursday 6 - 8:30pm and Sunday - Wednesday evenings from 6 - 8:30pm.. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Congregation Agudas Achim, Columbus Jewish Day School, Wexner Heritage Village or charity of donor's choice.
