Bertha Wasserstrom Obituary (1918 - 2010)

Bertha Wasserstrom (Ruben), age 91, died on Sunday, March 28, 2010 in Palm Beach Florida where she had lived for 30 years. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sidney Wasserstrom; parents, Rose and Saul Ruben; brothers, Bernard (“Bunny” Bertha’s twin) Ruben and Louis Ruben; sisters, Jeanette Berman and Pauline Shaffer. She is survived by her loving children, Rodney (Donna) Wasserstrom, Susan (Fred) Valins and Bruce Wasserstrom; adored grandmother of Brad (Julie) Wasserstrom, Kelli (Dr. Jeffrey) Gellis, Dan Valins, Scott (Elizabeth) Valins, Stephanie (fiancé Marc Elias) Valins, Seth Wasserstrom and Dana Wasserstrom; cherished great grandmother of Chelsea and Emily Wasserstrom and Sophie and Mia Gellis; and her sister, Selma Mellman. Bertha was an avid golfer and Buckeye follower. She always loved seeing her family and their children and always had a deep interest in their progress and well being. She enjoyed attending the orchestra and theater productions while residing in Florida. Funeral service 11 AM Thursday, April 1, 2010 at the EPSTEIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 3232 E. Main St., with Rabbi Harold Berman and Cantor Jack Chomsky officiating. Burial will follow at the Old Tifereth Israel Cemetery.
