Bernard "Bernie" Schottenstein Obituary (1924 - 2010)

Bernard "Bernie" Schottenstein, 85, passed away Monday, November 1, 2010. Preceded in death by his brothers, Leonard and Irving Schottenstein. He is survived by his wife, Naomi; daughters, Beryl Schottenstein and Sheri (Michael) Dollin; sons, Harlan(Svetlana) and Larry (Amy) Schottenstein; sisters, Shirley Cohen, Elaine Karr, Phyllis Schottenstein, Miriam (Bernard) Yenkin, and Rosalie Schottenstein; brother, Morris (Elizabeth) Schottenstein; grandchildren, Mya, Tera, Jessica Dollin, and Reva Schottenstein, Ariel, Benjamin, Alyssa, and Katie Schottenstein; sisters-in-law, Frances and Ellen Schottenstein, and Joyce Wiesenthal. Bernie had a successfull career in real estate development but was most proud of his family and service in World World II in Europe, particularly his experiences during the Battle of the Bulge. Funeral service 12 PM Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at THE EPSTEIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 3232 E. Main St., with Rabbi Melissa Crespy and Cantor Baruch Shifman officiating.
