Anne Swack Obituary (1919 - 2009)

Anne Swack, 89, born in Dresden, Germany. Anne was the daughter of Max and Sophie Goldschlager. She is survived by her husband, Elmer Swack. After leaving Germany in 1939, Anne went to London, England, where she undertook 4 years of her Registered Nurse’s training, during WWII at St. Andrew’s Hospital. She came to the U.S. in 1946 and worked at Toura Infirmary in New Orleans and then at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City. Anne was a member of Beth Abraham Synagogue and its Sisterhood and a life member of Hadassah. Funeral service 10 AM, Friday, Feb. 6, 2009 at WEXNER HERITAGE HOUSE, 1151 College Ave. Rabbi Jeffrey Elson officiating. Burial to follow at the New Agudas Achim Cemetery.
